Explore Uganda, the pearl of Africa on this 6 Days Uganda wildlife and primate Safari. This Uganda Safari takes you to Uganda’s incredible safari destinations and the climate of this Uganda safari is an encounter with the endangered mountain gorillas.

This safari starts in Kibale National Park head to Queen Elizabeth National Park connect to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and finally end in Mgahinga National Park.

Highlights


Day 1: Airport Pick up and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and after transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Day 3: Game drive and Boat Cruise and transfer to Bwindi

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest

Day 5; Golden Monkey tracking – Mgahinga national park

Day 6: Transfer to Entebbe and Departure.

Day 1: Airport Pick up and transfer to Kibale Forest National Park.

Upon arrival at Entebbe airport, you will be met by one of our driver guides to start your safari, driving to Kibale Forest National Park.

The park is located in the western part of Uganda – Kabarole district taking about 5-6 hours drive from Entebbe/Kampala. Proceed with lunch en-route & a stopover in Fort portal town to visit the Amabere G’anyinamwiru stalagmites site with a waterfall and the crater lakes. Proceed to Kibale arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Chimpanzee Forest Guest House

Day 2: Chimpanzee trekking and after transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast you will go for chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale’s 795km2 National Park contains one of the most beautiful and with the most varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This is place to a number of forest wildlife, most especially 13 species of primate coupled with chimpanzees. After tracking, have lunch and go for a guided nature walk in the Bigodi wetland area. Later transfer to Queen Elizabeth national Park arriving in the evening. Dinner and overnight at Park View Safari Lodge

Day 3: Game drive and Boat Cruise and transfer to Bwindi

An early morning a game drive in the Kasenyi sector, you may spot various animals like the elephants, Uganda kobs, leopards among others. Return to the lodge for late breakfast, relax abit then you will go for a launch cruise where you will spot various water animals like Hippos and crocodiles, the cruise will also enrich you with various water birds.

After, you will transfer to Bwindi, proceed to southwards to the Ishasha sector of the park which is a home for tree climbing lions. Towards your destination, you will have a pleasant view of the Uganda kob, elephants and some birds of riverine and savanna habitats. You will be driven to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park (home of the Uganda Mountain Gorillas). Dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge

Day 4: Gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable forest

You are warming up for the gorilla tracking. You will drive further south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is of Uganda´s oldest and most diverse rainforests. The “impenetrable” forest is also home to more than 320 mountain gorillas, 400 species of plants, 120 species of mammals and over 350 species of birds. Certainly one of the most exciting days of your safari; today you will be gorilla tracking. Breakfast will be served early and lunch will be packed. The briefing is at 8 am. Your guide will give you highlights of specific details about the way of life of the gorillas you will be tracking. The hike can take anything from one to seven hours. Once you reach the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour with them as you stand 6 meters away. Dinner and overnight at Ichumbi Gorilla Lodge as above

Day 5; Golden Monkey tracking – Mgahinga national park

After early morning breakfast, drive to Mgahinga national park for the golden monkey trekking, this activity has the same procedures as that of gorilla trekking. After briefing, enter the mountainous forest on Mount Gahinga – one of the Virunga mountains. This activity that’s 2-5 hours and on finding the monkeys, you will be allowed to spend an hour with them and take pictures. Return and meet your driver to drive back to your booked accommodation. Dinner and overnight stay at Traveler’s Rest lodge.

Day 6: Transfer to Entebbe and Departure.

After breakfast, you will embark on your journey back to Entebbe which lasts for about 8-9 hours. You will have lunch enroute and be dropped at the airport for your onward flight.
