DAY 1 – ARRIVE, ENTEBBE

Meet and greet by your Mantis Africa Safaris Driver Guide, who will transfer you from the airport to your hotel for the night, depending on the flight arrival time, our representative will brief you about your trip.

DAY 2 – KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK | TRANSFER FROM ENTEBBE – KIBALE

Have breakfast and transfer to Kibale National Park with lunch en-route & a stopover in Fort portal town to visit the Amabere G’anyinamwiru stalagmites site with a waterfall and the crater lakes. Proceed to Kibale arriving in the evening.

DAY 3 – KIBALE FOREST | CHIMPANZEE TREKKING

After breakfast, you will go for chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale’s 795km2 National Park contains one of the most beautiful and the most varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This is the place to a number of forest wildlife, most especially 13 species of primate coupled with chimpanzees. After tracking, have lunch and go for a guided nature walk in the Bigodi wetland area.

DAY 4 – TRANSFER TO BWINDI FOREST NATIONAL PARK

You will set out from the land of the chimpanzees to connect to the further south of the country where it is the home of the mountain gorillas. This is a half day drive so you will have an enroute lunch and connect to check into your hotel for dinner and night stay.

DAY 5 – BWINDI FOREST NATIONAL PARK | Encounter The Mountain Gorillas

You are warming up for the gorilla tracking. You will drive further south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is of Uganda´s oldest and most diverse rainforests. The “impenetrable” forest is also home to more than 320 mountain gorillas, 400 species of plants, 120 species of mammals, and over 350 species of birds. Certainly, one of the most exciting days of your safari; today you will be gorilla tracking. Breakfast will be served early and lunch will be packed. The briefing is at 8 am. Your guide will give you highlights of specific details about the way of life of the gorillas you will be tracking. The hike can take anything from one to seven hours. Once you reach the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour with them as you stand 6 meters away.

You will have lunch and later connect to visit the Batwa community for a feel of the native way of living in the area. Return to your lodge for dinner and night stay.

DAY 6 – ENTEBBE DEPARTURE

Flight from Kihihi to Entebbe,

You will leave your hotel in time for drop off at the Airstrip for your flight to Entebbe and then connect to another flight back home….
