DAY 1 – ARRIVE, Night in Entebbe

Start yiur Uganda Safari with a meet and greet by your Mantis Africa Guide, who will transfer you from the airport to your hotel for the night, depending on the flight arrival time, our representative will brief you about your trip.

DAY 2 – MABAMBA SWAMP|KIBALE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

Have a really early breakfast and head out for an experience with the Shoebill bird usually spotted at the Mabamba swamp.

This is one of the highlights for this Uganda safari! Once you have completed this sighting, you will connect to transfer to Kibale National Park with lunch en-route and some crater lake sights. This is an 6-hour road transfer.

Proceed to your hotel in Kibaale arriving in the evening.

DAY 3 – CHIMPANZEE TREKKING | TRANSFER TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast, you will go for chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is one of the best Uganda safari destinations in Africa for chimpanzee tracking. Kibale’s 795km2 National Park contains one of the most beautiful and the most varying tracts of tropical forest in the whole of Uganda. This is the place to a number of forest wildlife, most especially 13 species of primate coupled with chimpanzees.

After tracking, have lunch and head out to your accommodation in Queen Elizabeth National Park. You will arrive in time for dinner and night stay.

DAY 4 –MORNING GAME DRIVE | TRANSFER TO BWINDI FOREST NATIONAL PARK

You will wake up for an early breakfast and head out to the park for a chance to spot the Big 4 animals. Enjoy your game drive for about 3 hours and then set out to connect to the further south of the country where it is the home of the mountain gorillas.

This is a 3 hour drive so you will have an enroute lunch and connect to check into your hotel for dinner and night stay.

DAY 5 – BWINDI FOREST NATIONAL PARK | KIGALI

You are warming up for the gorilla tracking. You will drive further south to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is of Uganda´s oldest and most diverse rainforests. The “impenetrable” forest is also home to more than 320 mountain gorillas, 400 species of plants, 120 species of mammals, and over 350 species of birds. Certainly, one of the most exciting days of your safari; today you will be gorilla tracking. Breakfast will be served early and lunch will be packed. The briefing is at 8 am. Your guide will give you highlights of specific details about the way of life of the gorillas you will be tracking. The hike can take anything from one to seven hours.

Once you reach the gorillas, you are allowed to spend one hour with them as you stand 6 meters away.

Once the experience is complete, you will drive to cross back into Kigali and this is a shorter transfer of approximately 3 to 4 hours. Arrive back to Kigali in the late evening hours.
