DAY 1 – ARRIVE AT KILIMANJARO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

On arrival at the Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by our customer care representative who will give you an overview of your safari as you are transferred to the Four Points By Sheraton Hotel, Arusha for check in and overnight stay.Arusha, the gateway to the world-famous game sanctuaries of Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Lake Manyara, is one of the oldest towns in Tanzania. From a tiny German garrison in 1900, Arusha has grown to become the tourist capital of Tanzania with a population of about 400,000 people. At 1,540 meters above sea level, Arusha enjoys a very agreeable climate throughout the year. Positioned at the center of Africa between the Cape and Cairo on the Great North Road, Arusha is the administrative seat of the East African Community made up of Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda.

DAY 2 – LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK| TRANSFER TO LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK| GAME VIEWING

After breakfast, you depart for Lake Manyara National Park where you will arrive in time for a morning game drive with picnic lunches in the wild. Later in the afternoon, you will proceed with the drive to Karatu Area of Ngorongoro where you will arrive in time for check in at the Ngorongoro Farm House. Evening at leisure with optional walks into the nearby coffee farms. Dinner will be served at your lodge.Tucked below the majesty of the Rift Valley wall, Lake Manyara National Park consists of a thin green band of forest, flanked by the sheer 600 m high red and brown cliffs of the escarpment on one side and by the white-hot shores of an ancient soda lake on the other. Acacia woodland shelters the park’s famous tree climbing lions, lying languidly among the branches in the heat of the day.  Lake Manyara safaris offers many unique views including elephant, giraffe, buffalo and wildebeest can be found grazing in unexpected clearings or heading towards the water to drink or wash, and the rivers and riverbeds provide scenic vistas for possible animal spotting. Warthog seem to thrive here, growing notably fat and tuckered, and it is a natural playground for baboons and monkeys.

DAY 3 – NGORONGORO CRATER|GAME VIEWING

After breakfast, descend into the ‘8th Wonder of the World’, a unique biosphere that has remained virtually unchanged since the dawn of time. Enclosed within its towering walls are grasslands, swamps, forests, saltpans, a freshwater lake and a glorious variety of birdlife. Here too are all the members of the ‘Big Five’ (lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo) as well as a large plains game and one of Africa’s densest populations of predators. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before climbing back up and driving to your lodge in time for relaxation before dinner.This area’s main attraction is the Ngorongoro Crater, fondly known as “Africa’s Garden of Eden ”. A candidate for the new Seven Wonders of the World, this massive crater holds its own in that category. Beingthe world’s largest unbroken caldera, Ngorongoro is home to over 25,000 animals. It is considered one of the best game viewing spots in the world with a chance to see the big five, zebras and wildebeests. The crater holds almost every individual species of wildlife in East Africa including the extremely rare and critically endangered Black Rhino. Later in the evening, you will proceed with a drive to Karatu for check in and overnight at the Kitela Lodge.

DAY 4 – SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK | TRANSFER TO SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK | VISITING OLDUVAI GORGE MUSEUM

After your breakfast, you will depart for the Serengeti National Park with an optional brief stop at the Olduvai Gorge Museum (at an extra cost) before proceeding with the drive to arrive in time for check in and lunch at the Nyikani Central Serengeti Camp. You will then spend the afternoon at leisure before going for an evening game drive until dusk when you return to your camp.Nyikani Camp Central is located in Central Serengeti, taking advantage of the year-round wildlife, Serengeti is Tanzania’s most renowned national park and a home to the greatest concentrations of large mammals on the planet. The migratory herds of wildebeests, zebras and gazelles roam widely in search of green grass and water. The name Serengeti is derived from the Maasai name ‘Siringet’ meaning ‘endless plains’, and these rolling distances of short grass plains provide an exceptional landscape for wildlife viewing; your ultimate safari country.

DAY 5 – SERENGETI NATIONAL GAME PARK | GAME VIEWING| WILDEBEEST MIGRATION EXPERIENCE | BIRD WATCHING

With a wildebeest population of about 2 million and several other hoofed species (which include zebra, Thomson’s gazelle, impala, topi, Grant’s gazelle, Kongoni, Eland, Kirk’s dik dik, klipspringer, roan, Oryx, oribi, waterbuck, buffalo, giraffe and warthog), the Serengeti is sure to attract a string of prey such as lion, leopard, cheetah, hyena, golden jackals and bat eared foxes. Elephants are relatively scarce and the few remaining black rhinoceros are restricted to the Moru Koppies area.Serengeti also offers rewarding bird viewing with ostrich and kori bustard being common, a variety of larks, finches, and raptors can be seen but the most distinctive small bird is the lilac breasted roller.

DAY 7 –  MASAI MARA NATIONAL GAME RESERVE | TRANSFER TO MASAI MARA NATIONAL PARK FROM  SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK

After your breakfast, you will depart for the Masai Mara National Game Reserve via the Isebania border point where after the cross -border formalities and picnic lunches, you will be met by your Kenyan guide for the drive into the Masai Mara where you will arrive in time for an evening game drive enroute to the Tipilikwani Mara Camp for check in, dinner and overnight stay.Situated on the banks of the Talek River, Tipilikwani Mara Camp is a classic tented safari camp on the eastern border of the Masai Mara National Reserve. Ideal for those who want an authentic Mara experience, the camp radiates the warmth of the local people and gives you ample opportunity to explore and learn about these incredible surroundings. Nestled in a forested setting, all the tents are spacious and stylishly decorated to suit your every taste. Each tent has either a king-sized bed or two double beds and is decorated with rich, vibrant African colors to create a warm feeling.

DAY 8 – MASAI MARA NATIONAL GAME RESERVE  | WILDEBEEST MIGRATION EXPERIENCE | GAME VIEWING

You will have breakfast and then start off with a morning game drive  in the Masai Mara Reserve, also known as the “Jewel of Africa,” a site with one of the largest and the most spectacular animal migrations in the world. The reserve is inhabited by many of Africa’s most popular wild animals, including lion, cheetah, elephant, leopard, black rhino and hippo. There are also over 500 resident species of birds in the park including ostrich, larks and sunbirds as well as the lovely Lilac-breasted Roller.The Masai Mara National Reserve is in the south-western part of Kenya and forms part of the greater ecosystem that encompasses the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania. The Masai Mara is one of the best known and most visited reserves in Africa. The park is surrounded by concession areas and tribal lands of the Masai tribes people. These are unfenced from the Mara and act as a buffer zone for the National Park and form part of the migration area. The Masai Mara consists of open savannah, rolling grasslands and undulating hills. July to September sees the annual migration of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle coming from the plains of the Serengeti. Driven by dry conditions in the Serengeti and led by the lightning and thunder to the north, huge herds of mammals cross the Tanzanian border and rivers to reach the Mara’s grasslands.

DAY 10 – MASAI MARA NATIONAL GAME RESERVE   | GAME VIEWING | TRANSFER TO LAKE NAIVASHA

Take another morning game drive after muffins and coffee. Keep in mind, each game drive is distinct, and your game drives can be tailored to your preferences. Your driver guide can always stop for an hour or so if you come across a lioness on a hunt. Return to camp for breakfast then depart for Lake Naivasha where you will arrive in time for check in and lunch at the Naivasha Sopa Resort. You will then spend the afternoon at leisure before going for a boat ride on the lake and a visit to the Crescent Island Park. The Park where you walk with the Animals!They are not fenced to allow the wildlife on the mainland to come in as they lose their habitat to development and the ever-increasing population. Hippo graze all over us at night then sleep under the acacia or rest in the water by day. The giraffes who were born on the Island return to give birth; sometimes you see three generations at a time. Hyena come to hunt at night but are not resident on the island, the many python who do live here can be seen occasionally with a kill. Groups of Buffalo come and go but they are always monitored.

DAY 11 – AMBOSELI  NATIONAL PARK  | TRANSFER TO AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK| GAME VIEWING

After your breakfast, you will depart for the Amboseli National Park with a stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for some photos before proceeding with the drive via Nairobi to arrive in Amboseli National Park in time for check in and lunch at the Ol Tukai Lodge. You will then spend the afternoon at leisure before going for an evening game drive until dusk when you return to your lodge.Ol Tukai Lodge is one of the best spots in the world to watch elephants with the backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro. Ol Tukai is an Eco-rated lodge having excellent outdoor and indoor facilities with its unique collection of African art. DAY 12 – AMBOSELI  NATIONAL PARK |VISITING MASAI COMMUNITY  | GAME VIEWING

Today, you will spend the whole day in the Amboseli National Park with both morning and evening game drives.  In between, you will have an option of visiting local Masai villages that will enable you get the chance to interact and learn about the colorful culture of this nomadic pastoralist community.Amboseli sits on the lower slopes of mighty Mount Kilimanjaro – Africa’s highest – whose peak lies across the border in Tanzania. It is quite an experience to see Kilimanjaro hovering above the clouds in the early morning. The animal pictures arising against the dramatic backdrop of the mountain will thrill the photography enthusiast. Amboseli is renowned for its huge elephant herds. You will also see buffalo, black rhino, zebra, wildebeest and other plain animals.

DAY 13 – AMBOSELI  NATIONAL PARK |GAME VIEWING | TRANSFER TO NAIROBI

You will go for one final early morning game drive before returning to your camp for breakfast then depart with picnic lunch boxes. You will arrive in Nairobi later in the evening in time for check in at the Eka Hotel. After freshening up, you will be transferred to the renowned Carnivore Restaurant or Karen Blixen Coffee Gardens for a farewell dinner and back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
