This 10 Days Bwindi and Masai Mara Safari combined game safaris in Africa’s most iconic reserve – the Masai Mara and awe-inspiring encounter with the endangered mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
This East Africa Safari adventure commences in Nairobi City of Kenya, explore the cultural tapestry of this vibrant city, where the city’s rhythms perfectly blend harmoniously with its rich heritage. Later head to the iconic endless savannah plains of Masai Mara where the majestic beauty of Africa unfolds as you take to the skies and soar over its diverse landscapes. Here you will engage with the wilderness on guided walks, hot air balloon flights, game drives and immersive cultural encounters with the Maasai people.
Fly to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park where you will have a face to face encounter with the mountain gorillas – the climax of this safari.

On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be warmly welcomed by our Driver-Guide and transfer you to your hotel in Nairobi to freshen-up, depending on your arrival time you will head out for a tour visiting the Giraffe Centre where you will get to feed the giraffes, visit the Nairobi National Museum and have a short evening walk around the city.
Later be transferred back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast at your hotel, you will be picked up by your guide and be transferred to Wilson Airport for a domestic flight to Masai Mara. Upon landing you will be meet by your Driver – Guide and go for a game drive as you head to your lodge for lunch.
In the afternoon, return to the reserve for a game drive, expect to see several wildlife species including lions, cape buffaloes, gazelles, giraffes among others. Later return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

These two days are dedicated to exploring Masai Mara National Reserve. After early morning breakfast you will head out to explore the reserve on morning and afternoon game drives with each journey reveling a new chapter of the reserve and spotting various wildlife species including the Big Five – lions, leopards, cape buffaloes, rhinos and elephants among others.
Spice up your Masai Mara with guided nature walks in one of the Masai Mara conservancies, hot air balloon flight at dawn and a cultural visit to the Maasai people.

After breakfast, check out of your lodge and fly back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport where you will be picked up by our driver-guide and transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for a flight to Uganda’s Entebbe International Airport.
Upon landing you will be warmly welcomed by our guide and be transferred to your hotel in Entebbe for dinner and overnight stay.

After a leisurely breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for a domestic flight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, upon arrival at Kihihi Airstrip you will be warmly welcomed by our driver – guide who will transfer you to your lodge where you will spend the rest of the day.

Wake up early for breakfast, meet your driver-guide and head to the park headquarters for briefing about gorilla trekking by a UWA who will take you through rules and regulations to follow while in the forest and presence of the gorillas.
In groups of 8 people you will head into the forest searching for mountain gorillas led by armed rangers and guides. The trek takes about 2 to 5 hours or more depending on the movement of the gorillas and where they spent their previous night. Once you locate the gorillas, spend one hour in their presence watching them play, feed and groom each other. Later return to your lodge for an evening of rest, dinner and overnight stay.

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, meet your driver guide and head to the Batwa Community for a cultural experience. Here you will be entertained by local dances and drama, meet the local medicine man who will take you through use of several plants/herbs to cure illness, demonstration of their hunting skills and making of fire among others.
You will have an opportunity to enjoy local dishes, and later return to your lodge for lunch and spend the rest of the day at rest.

After breakfast at your lodge and be transferred to the airstrip for a domestic to Entebbe International Airport where you connect for your international flight back home or to your next destination.
